Navigating digital storms: parenting in the online age, a discussion

6 November @ 7:15 pm - 9:00 pm
£5

LONDON, UK (30 OCTOBER, 2025) — South London publisher Claret Press will launch their Conversations No One Else is Having speaker series on 6 November, 2025 at the ETNA Community Centre in Twickenham. The event marks the first in a series of four events set to take place in South London throughout the month of November.

Author and Tedx speaker Douglas Kruger will lead a discussion on parents’ technology-related fears and hopes for their kids in the online age under the title ‘Navigating digital storms: parenting in the online age’.

Designed to provide an opportunity for open-minded, in-person community, the speaker series aims to host dynamic conversations on pressing issues which have otherwise not been thoughtfully discussed in an age of political polarization and cancel culture. The series is set to bring in speakers with a variety of backgrounds — authors, ex-marines, researchers and non-profit organizations from, and beyond, London.

On Monday, 20 November, former Royal Marine Commando Pen Farthing will lead a discussion on war, animals and truth, providing anecdotes from his journey rescuing animals and people from war zones. A can’t-miss partnership between eco-thriller author Harry Whitehead and non-profit environmental organization Greenpeace will close out the series on 28 November with a discussion on blowing up oil rigs and ‘transformative’ solutions that may combat eco-crisis-related overwhelm. Both events will be held at the ETNA Community Centre.
