SUMMARY:Musical Roots in Richmond Park
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us at our annual Musical Roots evening at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park where you can enjoy jazz\, blues and boogie-woogie from highly professional musicians as well as a sit down supper and wine. \nThe evening will commence with a welcome drink on the Belvedere Terrace with its spectacular views over the Thames Valley. This will be followed by around two hours of live entertainment from a team of outstanding renowned jazz and blues musicians. Headlining the event will be the inimitable singer and pianist Dana Gillespie with her usual sharp wit\, highly entertaining stories and glamour. Dana\, who has worked with many stars including David Bowie\, Bob Dylan and Jimmy Page\, will be joined by other stars including Dino Baptiste and The John Bayley trio. \nYou will be provided with a buffet supper plus wine in the interval and there will also be the usual raffle with its high-end prizes all contributed by local enterprises. \nParking is free with Richmond Park main gates being held open especially for the occasion. \nAll proceeds will go to the Holly Lodge Centre\, which is a local charity located in a Victorian house in the middle of Richmond Park providing immersive experiences of nature and local history specialising in working with children and adults with special needs. The charity receives no Government funding thus relies on events such as these as well as donations to keep it up and running. \nThe event is always a sell-out. SUMMARY:Oktoberfest 2026 in Twickenham!
DESCRIPTION:YOU WON’T EXPERIENCE OKTOBERFEST LIKE THIS ANYWHERE ELSE. \nFrom Munich to Märzen\, we’re going big on Oktoberfest so you don’t have to go all the way to Germany. \nMirroring the dates of the original Munich festival (19th September to 3rd October)\, Brewery Market will be celebrating Oktoberfest with fresh German beer in the fridges and on tap\, alongside some brilliant UK interpretations of classic German styles. \nYou can pop in throughout the festival\, explore the beers at your own pace and #DrinkDifferently. \nTHE OPENING PARADE: SATURDAY 19th SEPTEMBER \nWe’ll be showing the official Oktoberfest opening parade and celebrations from Munich LIVE on the big screen from 11am. \nCome along\, grab a beer and enjoy the atmosphere. No ticket needed. \nBut if you want the full Brewery Market Bavarian experience\, that’s where things get a little more wunderbar… \nTHE BAVARIAN EXPERIENCE 🇩🇪 \nThere are just TWO ticketed Oktoberfest sessions this year\, with only 28 seats available at each. \nWe’ll provide the props\, music\, homemade food and Bavarian-style antics. You just need to reserve your seat and bring your best Oktoberfest spirit. \nTickets: £20 + Eventbrite booking fees \nOr pop into Brewery Market and buy your ticket directly from us to avoid the Eventbrite fees. \nAnd importantly\, your ticket includes LOADS OF HOMEMADE GERMAN CANAPÉS. \nWHAT TO EXPECT… \n🎺 BIG SCREEN SING-A-LONG \nProst-a-long. Cheers-a-long. Sing-a-long. You get the idea. \nGet your Schuhplattler on and oompah the night away. Expect music\, silliness and plenty of opportunities to join in. \n🥨 HOMEMADE BAVARIAN FOOD \nFreshly prepared German-inspired canapés throughout the session. Come hungry. \n🍺 MINI STEINS OF GERMAN BIER \nThis is Oktoberfest\, Brewery Market style. \nRather than enormous glasses of one beer\, our mini steins mean you can explore more German breweries\, styles and flavours in smaller measures. \nVariety\, not quantity. That’s how we do Oktoberfest. \n💪 THE MINI STEIN HOLDING CHAMPIONSHIP \nIt’s back. \nHow long can you hold your mini stein at arm’s length? \nThe current Brewery Market record stands at an astonishing 7 minutes 42 seconds. \nBeat it and you’ll win a £25 Brewery Market bar tab. \n🇩🇪 DIRNDLS & LEDERHOSEN ENCOURAGED \nIf you have them\, wear them. we’ll have a few onsite for you to borrow\, but first come firs served. \nWe’ll also be looking for our best dressed Bavarian of the night. \nWHY OKTOBERFEST? \nOktoberfest has been celebrated in Munich since 1810 and has grown into the world’s largest folk festival\, welcoming millions of visitors each year. \nOf course\, there are plenty of reasons why hopping over to Munich might not be on the cards this September. \nSo we’re bringing a little bit of Bavaria to Church Street instead. \nThe beer. The food. The music. The steins. The dressing up. The questionable attempts at Schuhplattler. \nAll on a rather more modest Brewery Market scale. \nMunich is quite a journey. Twickenham is much closer. \nBook one of our 28 seats per session and come and experience Oktoberfest\, Brewery Market style. \nPROST! 🍻
